This is my last post in London and as I sit at the airport, there is not much else to do but reflect on the last couple of weeks.
As you walk the streets of London, you will be guaranteed to see a red bus, a fried chicken shop and a Big Ben. Every street has got at least one of them. They also have the iconic red public toilet, there is a picture below of five of them in a row along a London street. They are a little less private to what I’m used to, but I am a seasoned traveller and doing things the local way is all part of the fun of travelling.
The first time I used one, I had a bit of stage fright – but the day after some dodgy chinese, I can’t tell you how glad I was that you could find one anywhere in London. Londoners are supportive too: I could see looks of support and got a couple of thumbs up from the locals as they went about their business while I was evacuating last night’s dodgy Chinese food. I’m sure they had all been in that situation before and could sympathise with what I was going through.
