I’m now in Boston but I have had an ear infection since Mexico. U.S chemists wont give out antibiotics without a prescription and I was too scared to go see a doctor. Not because I’m scared of doctors, but I was scared of the bill I would be given at the end of the visit. So I waited until Canada to get a prescription and they loaded me up. I have pills, ear drops and a nasal spray. The doctor said he couldn’t tell what type of infection it was, so he was going to attack it from all angles.
I’m taking it easy in Boston. The weather is still crap so I will try and get this ear sorted with some rest along with the drugs.
I ended up at Harvard for dinner. I went to a place called Flat Patty for a burger. The burger was good, but the onion rings were the best I have ever tasted.
Harvard at night is basically a bunch of coffee shops and fast food joints full of people doing their homework while they use the free wifi. You get the feeling that all the people at Harvard are very smart and extremely studious – even at 9 or 10pm, they are still drinking coffee and doing their homework.
Then I saw this book shop and realised that Harvard students are still just students… (see the three books in the middle row)
