It’s funny walking around a place that is all name brands. Fashion isn’t high on my list of hobbies, but I do need to get a new jacket – so I braved the Magnificent Mile for a morning to see what I could find.
Turns out – nothing. I walked into the biggest department store I could find, but they didn’t have much I was interested in. I wish I had seen this sign on my way in – I would have found a lift and gone straight to the top floor.
By the time I found the three jackets they had for sale, I gave up and went looking for something else to do. I had met a guy called Scott who owned a pub nearby, so I went there for lunch, a beer and steal his wifi to find something to do in the afternoon.
I had tried to find some sort of a Blues Brothers tour – but the movie was from so long ago that all of the locations used in the movie are now gone or unrecognisable. The House of Blues exists though – a blues club created by the Blues Brothers themselves (along with Aerosmith, Paul Shaffer and some others).
